john,
As the weather gets colder, there's nothing I look forward to more than savoring a whole-milk latte and a warm scone in a local coffee shop. It’s my indulgence, and I’ve found favorite spots all over the district. (In case you’re wondering, dill cheddar scones from Issaquah Coffee Company and raspberry scones from Pioneer Coffee Company in Cle Elum are two of my favorites.)
Those coffee break moments remind me how lucky we are to live here. Our district has this quiet beauty to it, from the mountain views and changing leaves to the cozy cafés filled with neighbors catching up. It's home. And it’s not just the scenery, it’s the people. And they are why I refuse to stand by when I see politicians pushing policies that hurt us.
Before you read on, I have to ask: Can you chip in today to help us protect WA-08 families and keep this seat blue? >> [link removed]
In Congress, my job is to be WA-08's voice—loudly, clearly, and unapologetically.
So when the GOP ignores the concerns of the people I represent, I speak up.
When RFK Jr. promotes dangerous, anti-vaccine rhetoric that puts families at risk, I call it out, publicly and directly.
When D.C. Republicans shut the government down, I still show up to work every single day to help find a way forward, even when they stay home.
And when D.C. Republicans brought forward the "big, ugly bill" to strip healthcare from millions of people while handing out tax giveaways to billionaire donors, I didn't hesitate to vote NO, because no one in this country should lose access to care so the ultra-wealthy can get another break.
You know I'll work with anyone to get results for this district. I've done it again and again. But when our community's needs are ignored, when families are put at risk, when politics takes precedence over people, I won't back down. That's my promise to you. And as we head into an election year, that work becomes even more important. The attacks will ramp up, outside spending will pour in, and the only way we keep this seat is by building a strong campaign from the ground up.
So I’m asking: Will you chip in today to help us hold WA-08 next November and continue our work for this district together? >> [link removed]
Thanks for your continued support,
Kim
