Hi John, it's Marni Von Wilpert, Democrat running to flip CA-48, which recently became one of the most competitive seats in the country. Blue Amp Action said I could reach out with an update on our race.

Let me be blunt: defeating Darrell Issa won’t be easy.

Issa is a MAGA Republican through and through. He is part of Trump’s plan to steal the House. First, they stole seats in North Carolina; now, they are going to pour millions into protecting Issa with the help of their special interest backers. They’ll spend whatever it takes.

That’s why I need your help today.

This is going to be one of the most expensive races in the country, because it’s one of the most important. Prop. 50 took this district from safe red to tilt Democratic, which means Republicans are going to do whatever is necessary to win.

I don’t believe in giving up. I didn’t give up when I faced a well-funded Republican opposition in my campaign for the San Diego City Council, and I didn’t give up when I was tackling corporate wrongdoing as a prosecutor and federal labor lawyer. I flipped my seat in the City Council, and I worked in Congress, helping draft the PRO Act to strengthen unions and unrig the economy.

This is going to be a tough fight. But I’m optimistic because I have you and Blue Amp Action by my side.
