Sour cream vs. applesauce with latkes. Latkes vs. hamantaschen. (This one is actually Phil’s family’s biggest friendly debate!) Mashed potatoes vs. homemade pumpkin pie. No matter your background, faith, or practices, this time of year is full of tasty seasonal treats. Our campaign HQ team always looks forward to a whole cornucopia of delicious food as the days get shorter and colder. For some of us, the end of the year is a time of plenty. For too many, that’s not the case. No Coloradan should ever go hungry, regardless of the season, but especially as fall turns to winter, no one in our state should be left struggling to meet this basic need. That’s why Phil’s office has been fighting for months — and is continuing to fight — to protect SNAP benefits for the 600,000 Coloradans (half of whom are children) who depend on these programs to meet their basic needs.
Thanks for giving us the inside scoop. We hope you’re looking forward to a full plate and a delicious meal, no matter which holidays may be in your future. — Team Phil P.S.: Speaking of rugelach — if you haven’t already saved your seat at our virtual rugelach-making class, you can grab one now! We hope to see you there. |
