John, 2026 is going to be a busy year for Ban The Trade.

Earlier this year, supporters like you got on the phone lines to call members of an obscure congressional subcommittee, where a bill to end congressional stock trading had been sent to die.

By showing Congress that we weren’t going to let this go, we forced leadership from both parties to speak up in support of our goal.

Once the shutdown ended, we quickly reapplied pressure, and in a few short weeks, a committee hearing was quickly followed by a bipartisan discharge petition in the House.

We’re closer than ever to banning congressional stock trading.

There is still plenty of work to do. Next, we’ll be working on the Senate to take similar action — and in the meantime, we’re endorsing anti-corruption candidates running against the worst traders and their enablers.
