Dear Friend,

It has never been more important for all of us to help steer the future of drug policy. This year, we’ve seen the federal government slash funding for treatment, overdose prevention, and research—while escalating criminalization in ways we haven’t seen in years.

That’s why we’re asking you what matters most in the year ahead.

If you haven’t yet, please take a moment to share your 2026 drug policy reform priorities.

TAKE THE POLL: [link removed]

Your input helps guide our work—from city halls to state legislatures to Congress. When our community speaks up, we are stronger. And right now, we need that strength more than ever.

Together, we will keep pushing forward—defending our wins, advancing evidence-based policies, and building a future rooted in health and human rights.

With gratitude,

Joe Salas

SUBJECT: POLL: What Are Your 2026 Drug Policy Reform Priorities?

As we look toward 2026, we’re facing one of the most consequential moments for drug policy in decades. The federal government’s sweeping cuts to treatment, overdose prevention, Medicaid, and public health—combined with renewed calls for harsher criminal penalties—are putting countless lives and decades of progress at risk.

And still, we remain steadfast.

In the year ahead, DPA will be fighting to protect the reforms we’ve won… expand life-saving overdose prevention services… secure real investments in care, treatment, and public health... and push back against dangerous increases in criminalization.

But we also want to know: What are your drug policy reform priorities for 2026?

Your voice helps shape our agenda, guide our advocacy, and strengthen this movement.

Take our poll and let us know what you want to see in 2026.

Sincerely,
