You probably know at least one Trump voter who’s singing a different tune these days. In fact, I even work with one (cough cough, Marjorie Taylor Greene).
Some of these former Trump voters will admit misgivings in private; some out in the open. Some are on the right track, but not quite there yet.
The question is, how do we start turning dissatisfied Trump voters into anti -Trump voters?
If you'd like to learn how you can have a productive conversation with the Trump voters in your life this holiday season, read on.
But first: I’ve been “that guy” debunking MAGA lies since 2018, so trust me, when it comes to messaging, bigger investment = wider reach. So please, will you pitch in to help me connect with as many persuadable Americans as possible? [[link removed]]

Listen with interest and speak with empathy. Realizing you’ve been duped is a tough pill to swallow, and I-told-you-so smugness and self-righteous anger doesn't make it easier. Let's make sure folks know they're welcome in our big tent.
Show, don’t tell. Instead of saying, “Trump is a terrible president/person,” let the facts speak for themselves. Talk about higher prices, handouts to billionaires, pardons for international drug traffickers and crypto scammers, the Epstein cover up, attacks on health care, more.
Find common ground. Democrats aren’t deep-state devil-worshipping Communists. We’re Americans who, like most Trump voters, want health care, more money in our pockets, a strong, secure, and free nation, and more opportunities for our kids’ futures. Focus on all that unites us, rather than what than divides us.
I've engaged in these kinds of conversations all year long at packed town halls in red districts, on the streets of IL-06, and in the halls of Congress. I’m going to keep it up in 2026, but first, I’m counting on your support to fund my outreach budget. Will you chip in $10 or $25 to help me deliver important messages to persuadable voters everywhere? [[link removed]]

This holiday season, at dinner tables across America, we have a chance to start putting ten years of hate and division behind us.
