NEH Invites Applications to Build Endowments for Research and Teaching of Western Civilization, American History and Government, and Civics

Endowments for Advancing the Humanities awards provide funds for 20-year term endowments to support long-term work in the humanities. Applicants may propose up to three years to raise and certify non-federal gifts that will be matched one-to-one with NEH federal matching funds. Once award recipients have certified the required amount of non-federal gifts, they will establish a term endowment and spend its income to advance the work of the humanities at their organizations. Art History Faculty Opening at University of St. Thomas Houston

The University of St. Thomas (www.stthom.edu) is a private, Catholic university, located in Houston, Texas-the nation's fourth largest city--that gives pride of place to the liberal arts and the Catholic intellectual tradition within its mission of faithful Catholic higher education. As such, the University is seeking a full-time Open Faculty Rank of Art History. The ideal candidate will be a successful scholar, an inspiring teacher, and an experienced builder of programs.
