John, This weekend, we lost two incredible and iconic leaders who led the fight for justice, equality, and fair access to the polls. My friends, Congressman John Lewis and Rev. C.T. Vivian were beaten and risked their lives just so that you and I could have the right to vote. Yesterday marked our two year anniversary as an organization on a mission to change the culture around voting and increase participation in each and every election by helping to close the race and age voting gap. What we are doing together is really hard work, but it is important work, and unlike Congressman Lewis and Rev. Vivian, we shouldn't have to put ourselves in harm's way to do it! We have seen record breaking turnout in midterm elections, and more young people stepping up and getting involved than ever before. But we’ve also seen continued attempts at voter suppression, and difficulties registering voters because of the pandemic. With almost 100 days until the election, we have no time to waste to get everyone we know registered and ready to vote. In honor of Congressman John Lewis and Rev. C.T. Vivian's legacy and in celebration of When We All Vote’s second birthday, our co-chairs filmed a special message for you. Will you share this video with your friends and family to remind them to register to vote? Let’s get into good trouble together. It’s up to us to get the word out about how important it is to make your voice heard. Join us! Valerie Valerie Jarrett
