One week ago yesterday, I launched my campaign for the United States Senate.

And almost immediately, the same old voices started chiming in:
“A Democrat can’t win statewide in Texas.”
“This race is too big.”
“The machine is too strong.”

I’ve heard that kind of talk before.

They said it when I ran for Congress. They said it when I stood up to Donald Trump. They say it every time Texans demand something better than corruption, chaos, and excuses.

Here’s what I know: Texans are tired of being underestimated — and tired of leaders who don’t care about them.

That’s why today, to close out our first week, we’re setting a bold goal: $50,000 in one day. Not because it’s easy — but because it sends a message. A message that this campaign is real, serious, and built to win.

This is about more than dollars. It’s about showing Texas — and the national political world — that we’re not waiting our turn, asking for permission, or shrinking ourselves to fit someone else’s expectations.
