John,

Republican legislators refused to hold a vote on gun safety measures
supported by nearly 70% of Minnesotans — so I’m taking action on the
weapons that have caused terror and heartbreak for our state.

Yesterday, I signed the first executive actions taken by a Minnesota
Governor focused on common-sense gun violence prevention.

We’re laying the groundwork to hold gun manufacturers accountable,
expanding education, training, and best practices on extreme risk
protection orders, and partnering with the Minnesota Department of
Education and local schools to promote safe storage.

Let me be clear: Minnesotans are demanding change — and these executive
actions are just the first step. Republicans in the Legislature need to
show courage and hold a vote on banning assault weapons and high-capacity
magazines.

[ [link removed] ]John, if you’re with me and the majority of Minnesotans,
will you chip in $5 today and help my reelection campaign so
we can continue this critical fight?

I’m grateful,
