Dear DRA Community,

What makes DRA worth investing in this giving season? Our impact. Because of DRA in 2025:
  • Chicago will install thousands of life-saving accessible pedestrian signals;
  • Baltimore will increase access to the City’s curb ramps and sidewalks;
  • The California Department of Health Care Services will provide Medi-Cal notices in accessible formats for people who are blind and have low vision who cannot read standard print; and
  • Hunter’s Point Library in Long Island City has made significant changes to ensure visitors with mobility disabilities are able to visit, benefit from, and enjoy.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for DRA’s impact in 2025. Read our 2025 annual report and view our 2025 case highlights video for more. DRA’s work is saving lives, transforming streetscapes and public and private institutions, and enabling equity. If you want to make sure your donation is used to level the playing field for people with disabilities, donate to DRA today!

Want to know where what your donation will make possible in 2026? With your generous support, DRA will:
  • Continue to fight to ensure safe and accessible sidewalks in the City of Chicago;
  • Proceed with our case challenging the unlawful use of solitary confinement of incarcerated New Yorkers with disabilities;
  • Hold Harvard University accountable for its systemic violation of the rights of students with mental health disabilities;
  • Ensure travelers with mobility disabilities can get to airports using SuperShuttle alongside their non-disabled peers; and the list goes on!
These high-impact, precedent-setting legal cases on behalf of the millions of Americans with disabilities are only possible with your philanthropy.

Thank you to everyone who has already invested in DRA’s work this year—your partnership has made our victories possible. If you haven’t yet made a gift, or are considering making another, now is the perfect time. Your year-end gifts are fully tax deductible, and we welcome gifts of stock, donor-advised grants, and planned gifts which can offer meaningful tax advantages for you while providing long-term strength for DRA’s battles ahead.
