After growing up in a hardworking family of farmers, I earned a college degree, Master’s degree, a law degree, and Ph.D, becoming the most degreed member of Congress. My educational journey informed my public service and commitment to Texas.

I got tired of seeing so many of my neighbors work hard and still not have equal opportunities. I decided to run for Congress to keep fighting for education, healthcare reform, and lowering costs for everyday working families.

Now, amid redistricting schemes and attacks pouring in, I’m working hard to fight back. But I can’t do it without your help.

I’m running for Congress as a commonsense candidate who will fix our education systems, lower everyday costs for Texans, and protect vital programs that support our children, seniors, and veterans.
