Last month, our friends at Tax March launched a Tax the Rich bus tour. They have been traveling the country sharing new stories, videos and staging events spreading a very simple message: the American people support taxing the rich.

Inequality in the U.S. is higher than ever: Currently, the 400 richest Americans own more wealth than the bottom two-thirds of Americans, or 220 million people.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1:00pm the Tax the Rich bus tour arrives in the nation’s capital. Help us amplify their demand for Congress to unrig the tax system and ensure #FairShareTaxes for all.

Whether it’s loopholes for hedge fund managers, tax breaks for wealthy corporations, or weakening the estate tax to let wealthy families avoid paying their fair share in taxes, it is clear that the system is rigged. We need to tax the rich to create an economy that works for all of us.
