BREAKING: Trump administration backs Bayer in Supreme Court glyphosate fight

Should the federal government put the health of Americans before corporate profits?

Friend, the Trump administration is officially siding with Bayer-Monsanto, urging the Supreme Court to shield Bayer from over 67,000 lawsuits. Those cases allege that glyphosate, the key ingredient in Bayer’s signature product Roundup, caused cancer.

Once again, the administration is elevating corporate profits over the health of Americans. Here’s what this means:

* Thousands of farmers, groundskeepers and consumers could lose their chance to hold Bayer accountable.
* Cancer patients and grieving families may be denied their day in court.
* Corporate interests – not public health – are being prioritized at the highest levels of government.

Instead of standing with families searching for justice, the administration is siding with a multibillion-dollar chemical company whose product has been linked in court to non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

After this support was announced, Bayer’s stock posted its biggest single-day gain in 17 years.

EWG President and co-Founder Ken Cook put it plainly: “It’s a brazen betrayal of the very citizens our government is sworn to protect.”
