** Thank you for joining us for our holiday party!
------------------------------------------------------------
We had an amazing holiday party last Saturday. Thanks to you, we overflowed the toy drive collection bucket. We bonded over the year we’ve had, made art and buttons, and so much more.
Here’s to another year of fighting fascism.
** Let’s Sing ICE out of Home Depot: Caroling Protest on Friday, Dec 19 at 6 PM
------------------------------------------------------------
Join Indivisible SF, Bay Resistance, and other groups for anti-ICE caroling at Home Depot Daly City at 303 Lake Merced Blvd, Daly City.
We will be demanding that Home Depot do the following immediately:
* Publicly condemn ICE raids.
* Stop cooperating with ICE – close stores and parking lots to ICE agents.
* Negotiate with National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) to protect workers and customers from attacks.
* Help detained victims and support their families.
* Release security video and other footage of enforcement actions at Home Depot stores.
RSVP via ActionNetwork. ([link removed])
We are looking for event monitor volunteers for this event. If you’d like to volunteer, respond to this email or email us at

** Urgent—call today: Don't let Republicans ban trans kids!
------------------------------------------------------------
From Trans Equality ([link removed]) :
Introduced by Representative Marjorie Taylor-Greene [GA] and Dan Crenshaw [TX], H.R. 3492 ([link removed]) and H.R. 498 ([link removed]) are dangerous and discriminatory bills. H.R. 3492 seeks to criminalize the provision of consensual transition-related care while explicitly permitting non-consensual surgeries performed on intersex infants; while H.R. 498 aims to prohibit the use of Federal Medicaid funds to cover transition-related health care for adolescents.
The only purpose of these bills is to target transgender and gender-diverse, by denying safe and medically necessary healthcare, in order to enforce rigid, outdated gender norms.
Congress must defend the rights of their constituents to access medically necessary care and to defend the rights of doctors, not Marjorie Taylor Greene or Dan Crenshaw, to determine what treatments patients have access to. We must call on all members of the House, no matter their party, to take action to protect the health and well-being of all youth by VOTING NO on Majorie Taylor Greene and Dan Crenshaw's discriminatory anti-trans bills.
The votes on these bills will take place TODAY, Wednesday Dec 17.
Call your members of Congress NOW and tell them: ([link removed]) Don’t let Republicans ban trans kids!
** Protect your safety and security: Stop the deceptively-named Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA)
------------------------------------------------------------
KOSA is back, and it’s among the 18 online “safety” bills that have been advanced out of committee to the full House. All of these bills must be stopped, as they cut us off from information and community and expose us to even more damage from data breaches. Everyone, kid or adult, who is unwilling or unable to produce papers to prove their identity and age to a platform’s satisfaction will be made a second-class citizen in online life.
“Age verification” (more like “Papers, please”) is already harming people in the UK and Australia and certain US states, and that’s only one element of these various pieces of legislation. The EFF has built a resource hub ([link removed]) to educate and fight back against these intrusive surveillance measures, and our own call script page ([link removed]) includes a list of the harms these bills will do. Now is the time to let your representative and senators know that we oppose this legislation, which is bad for everyone.
Call your Members of Congress and tell them: ([link removed]) vote NO on KOSA and the 18-bill online “safety” package.
** America First? Or a New Colonialism? Tell your MoC’s to reject war in South America
------------------------------------------------------------
The MAGA regime recently released its National Security Strategy ([link removed]) describing their foreign policy and defense goals. Proclaimed as an "America First" strategy, it is mainly a polemic screed rehashing MAGA dogma, grievances, accusations, theories, and base-building rhetoric. But peeking through its pages are the bones of defense and foreign policies that envision a return to the 1900s-era of colonial 'gunboat diplomacy' in Latin America and the Caribbean. And that also prioritize private corporate profit over democratic principles; support and nurture authoritarian rulers while denigrating democracies; concede power to Putin; and largely abandon Ukraine to become a Russian vassal state and an American economic protectorate, while carving up the planet into spheres of influence to be ruled by the U.S, China, and Russia.
Call your Members of Congress and tell them: ([link removed]) oppose military action in South America, as well as the abandonment of NATO.
** Saturday protests: How Trump the Grinch Stole Democracy
------------------------------------------------------------
Our weekly Saturday protest, Trump Regime Takedown, will be ongoing throughout the holiday season. If you are angry about the Trump Administration taking a wrecking ball to our democracy and destroying our economy, we welcome you to join us. We are celebrating resistance, togetherness, and democracy every Saturday. This is a great way to meet up with other activists in the city and blow off some steam.
RSVP on Mobilize ([link removed]) or just show up at O’Farrell and Van Ness (999 Van Ness) at 12 PM every Saturday!
** The Twelve Months Of Trump’s Mess
------------------------------------------------------------
Hark! It's been a rough year for America. The White House halls have been decorated in chaos, stupidity, and grifting. We pulled together a mini year-end performance review of the Trump Regime.
Let us take a breath and briefly lighten things up during this holiday season. Gather with family and friends for our year-end retrospection of “The Twelve Months of Trump’s Mess”! Eat, drink and seek to be merry, for despite the many challenges we faced in 2025, we have had wins too. Make a toast. Enjoy your holiday season, relax, laugh, and return fired up more than ever in the new year!

** Plastic bags are going away by the end of this year. Are you ready?
------------------------------------------------------------
We previously informed you that plastic grocery bags would be going away in California at the end of this year, so you should start stockpiling reusable bags and get in the habit of using them.
That day is imminent. Next year, you won’t be able to get new plastic bags anymore—only paper. Reuse the plastic bags you already have, and consider buying cloth bags to use instead.

And, by the way, if you want to represent Indivisible SF, we have
ISF tote bags ([link removed]) for sale on our Bonfire site. All proceeds go to funding our expenses.
** Want to help us do this work?
------------------------------------------------------------
We will plug you in where your skills can do the most good to resist this administration.
If you would like to join and do important work with us, we welcome you! Currently we are in need of volunteers to help with the following:
* Making artwork for our calls to action, blog posts, and other projects.
* Maintaining our website, newsletter, and Zoom account.
* Posting our events to Funcheap, Indybay, Broke-Ass Stuart, and other local blogs.
* Maintaining our social media platforms including Mastodon, Bluesky, TikTok, Meta, and more.
* Joining and building out an on-the-ground flyering team. We’re looking to distribute information on our events in the real world. We want people who can print and post flyers around their neighborhood. It’s a great way to get your steps in.
* Publishing our newsletter with MailChimp on Newsletter Night (Tuesdays at 5 PM).
* Making short-form videos to help educate people on our topics in an accessible way.
* Tracking federal, state, and local legislation and working with our state and local legislatures and Mayor Lurie.
No experience is needed; we will train you and provide everything you need. If you would like to help us, please contact us at
[email protected] (mailto:
