Hi John,
My name is Will, and I'm the Volunteer Coordinator for Netroots Nation. I first attended Netroots in its second year and have returned every year since.
What makes me come back year after year? Here's just a few reasons:
The chance for learning. You're not going to find a better offering of trainings and issue discussions for progressive activists anywhere else. Whether you're looking for a media training or a discussion about the upcoming midterms, we've got you covered.
A dose of inspiration. I’m a life-long activist. If you've been doing this work for years like I have, you might be a little jaded or tired. Netroots Nation consistently books speakers who fire me up and recharge my batteries for another year in the fight.
The chance to meet partners face to face. Working in coalition with other groups requires trust — and that trust is immeasurably strengthened when you can connect with someone face to face. Netroots is the best place to meet with other progressive organizers and leaders in person over coffee or a hallway conversation.
This week, the Netroots team is offering discounted tickets for the 2026 event, happening June 4-6 in Philadelphia. Click here to get your ticket now at a discount!
Still on the fence about attending? Here's what a few others have to say:
- “Netroots is one of the most important gathering places for the progressive movement. It combines politics/culture/economics/social assessment and the joy of being in this sprawling movement to make this a more just and democratic world.” –Heather Booth, organizer
- “Spending a few days surrounded by activist and political leaders from across the U.S. was more inspiring than I could have imagined. I’m still fired up!” –Maria, first time attendee
- “Netroots is a powerful, game-changing event. I left feeling energized, empowered, and counting down the days until next year’s event!” –Yann, attendee

I hope to see you in Philadelphia!
