John,
More than 4,500 people—from every state and 431 of the country’s 435 congressional districts— responded to our latest survey on sexism and misogyny. What they told us is not subtle. It is clear. 67% say misogyny is increasing. Fewer than 1% think it is getting better.
Nearly 90 percent see rising misogyny driven by politics and media. Seventy-five percent experience it online. Almost 40 percent encounter it in healthcare, where misogyny now shapes decisions about pain, pregnancy, life, and death.
One respondent said, “Every time I turn on the news, women are framed as problems to be managed rather than people to be represented.”
This is not our imagination. It is about power aligning against us.
Women’s March exists for moments like this, when rage is rational, silence is dangerous, and refusing to comply is the only responsible response.
