Hello, Friend!

We’re suing the Trump Administration…Again!

We just filed a federal lawsuit against the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in response to Acting Director Russell Vought’s attempts to cripple the agency by cutting off its funding. Your support is crucial to helping us stand up for a fair, transparent and safe marketplace for every American family.

The Stakes:

The CFPB is on the brink of forced collapse– and the consequences for working families, small businesses, and communities of color would be devastating. Eliminating the agency’s ability to monitor markets and enforce consumer protection laws would leave banks, lenders and credit card companies virtually unchecked. This shutdown would also deprive advocates like NCRC of the data we rely on to hold lenders accountable and would further deny small business owners equal access to credit.

Our Response:

NCRC is using every tool available – including legal action, regulatory comments, advocacy and public engagement – to ensure the federal government is carrying out its established duties under law. That is why we partnered with Public Citizen, Rise Economy, and the Woodstock Institute to challenge the Administration’s refusal to request funding from the Federal Reserve.

We are fighting to protect consumers from deception and discrimination, ensure honest businesses can compete fairly, and keep a financial market place where rules are enforced and everyone plays by them.

Our Ask:

We must fight to protect a fair, transparent, and safe financial marketplace. NCRC is uniquely positioned to lead that effort. Join us in standing up in court to ensure that every family has equal access to our financial system – and that every actor within it is held accountable to the law.

Donate Today!

Help us complete our mission, and together, make a Just Economy a national priority and a local reality.

In solidarity,

Team NCRC
