| Dear John -- We’re wrapping up a very busy 11 months working alongside President Trump to deliver on the MAGA agenda. What a year it has been. Since President Trump’s inauguration, we’ve taken over almost 650 votes—that’s more than any Senate has taken in modern U.S. history. The Senate has confirmed 318 nominees in President Trump’s second term so far—that’s a 16% increase from President Trump’s first term. By the end of this week, we will have confirmed 97 additional nominees, bringing the total to 417 Senate confirmations—a 52% increase. That’s a lot of votes, but specifically, we’re delivering lower prices and higher paychecks for Oklahomans. Our landmark legislation, the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, prevented the LARGEST tax hike in American history from taking place. A working family with a household income between $15,000 and $80,000 per year will see a 15% tax cut in 2026—that’s more savings in your pocket. We cut $9 billion of waste, fraud, and abuse in the government through the rescissions process. When facing the highest threat level since World War II, the Senate acted swiftly to send the National Defense Authorization Act to President Trump’s desk. This bill restores America to our ‘Peace through Strength’ agenda, supports Oklahoma’s critical military installations, and gives our brave men and women in uniform well-earned raises. The Senate has logged the most time voting in Washington than any Congress in modern history. Starting on January 20th, the Senate was in session for 10 weeks straight to get the ENTIRE cabinet in place at the fastest pace in 20 years. I’d much rather be at home in Oklahoma; however, I’m 100% committed to the job you elected me to do, and for that, I cannot thank you enough. That was just 2025; I’m optimistic about what I can help accomplish for our state in 2026. I’d love for you to let me know what your expectations are for me in the new year. Please take a moment to share your priorities through the survey below. Keep in mind that federal election law limits how much I'm allowed to communicate with constituents during election years. By answering this question, you will opt in to continue hearing from me, even during those periods. I hope you’ve enjoyed this year as much as I have, Markwayne |
