Familia,

My name is Dianne Morales and I’d like to introduce you to my campaign for Mayor of New York City. 

I was born and raised in Bed-Stuy, the daughter of two working class Puerto Rican migrants. My parents passed on to me their own version of the American Dream, a version that includes bringing your neighbors and your community with you as you climb the ladder of success. I have since adopted my own version. A version that encourages growth from within the community and spreads it outward. A version that allows all of us to take part in the American Dream that I was privileged to be able to tap into.

This Mayoral campaign is more than just a political endeavor, it is a coalition-building movement. My campaign is supported by fellow New Yorkers who have banded together to make a difference. We are powered by individual donors from mostly working class families who are putting their faith in this movement.

Our supporters are an intersectional coalition of Black, Brown, LGBTQIA and working class New Yorkers, and we are too strong to be silenced. We have come so far because of the passionate support we receive from people like you, but we still have a long road ahead.

As New York City’s Mayor,

• I will stand against predatory real estate practices that displace thousands of New Yorkers. 
• I will fight to protect labor unions and workers. 
• I will fight for the small businesses that are the cornerstone of this city’s economy.
• I will fight for a minimum income policy to help break the cycle of poverty.

And most importantly, I will fight for you.

I only ask that you fight alongside me, to build a better New York.
