Congress is still in session.

H.R. 589 can still be brought to a vote.

Tell Speaker Mike Johnson

Repeal the FACE Act before this Congress leaves.

SIGN THE PETITION

Dear John,

Christmas is approaching. Offices are packing up. Schoolbooks are closing. And in Washington, a lot of people are already thinking about travel plans, family dinners, and the break ahead.

But this is not the moment to step back.
This is the moment to finish the job.

H.R. 589 — the FACE Act Repeal — is still alive, and Congress is still in session. The pressure is real right now, but it won’t last. Once lawmakers leave town and the new Congress begins, momentum fades, attention shifts, and this chance could be lost completely.

The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (the FACE Act) is still federal law. And as long as it stays on the books, it can be used again to target peaceful Americans for praying, speaking, and standing for life.

Please add your name now and tell Speaker Mike Johnson to bring the FACE Act Repeal to a vote before this Congress ends.

For years, CitizenGO has warned that the FACE Act was being weaponized. Many of you have stood with us as this warning became reality — not in theory, but in the lives of real people.

Eva Edl, an 89-year-old communist death camp survivor, faced prison time simply for praying for the unborn. CitizenGO ran a dedicated campaign on her behalf, and thousands of you stepped forward with prayers, public support, and financial help to defend her.

Her case is unforgettable — and it should never have happened.

But it was not a one-off.

Seventy-five-year-old Paulette Harlow was sentenced to prison for sitting silently in an abortion facility waiting room. Other peaceful Americans were raided in their homes, prosecuted, and threatened with years behind bars for praying, singing hymns, or quietly offering help to women in crisis.

These were not violent criminals.
They were ordinary Americans punished for their conscience.

At the same time, violence against pro-life and conservative voices is growing. Charlie Kirk was recently targeted simply for exercising free speech in public. Churches and pregnancy centers have been firebombed and vandalized across the country. A peaceful pro-life couple was violently beaten while standing outside an abortion clinic, doing nothing more than witnessing for life.

Yet these attacks are routinely downplayed or ignored, while peaceful pro-lifers are aggressively prosecuted under federal law.

It’s a dangerous double standard that leaves law-abiding Americans exposed — and it sends a chilling message: peaceful prayer will be punished, while violence from the other side is tolerated.

Sign the petition and add your voice to this growing coalition demanding action before Congress adjourns.

The FACE Act was never necessary to protect public safety. Every state already has laws against assault, harassment, and obstruction. Those laws are sufficient to address genuine threats.

The FACE Act added a federal enforcement tool that could be used selectively — and under the previous administration, that is exactly how it was used.

Now, something has changed.

More than 50 pro-life and free speech organizations have formally joined together to press Speaker Mike Johnson to act. This coalition strengthens a fight that CitizenGO and its members have been waging for years — and it creates a rare moment of focused, united pressure.

H.R. 589, introduced by Representative Chip Roy, will repeal the FACE Act in full and return authority where it belongs: to states and local communities that already have the tools to prosecute real crimes without criminalizing peaceful witness.

Speaker Mike Johnson understands this issue. His past leadership helped expose the disproportionate and abusive enforcement of the FACE Act. Now, as Speaker of the House, he has the authority to act while Congress is still in session.

But authority only matters if it is used.

This is not about relitigating old cases. It’s about preventing the next Eva Edl. It’s about making sure no elderly grandmother, no parent, no pastor, and no peaceful American ever again faces prison for praying in public.

Once Congress leaves, this moment passes.
Once the pressure eases, attention shifts.

And then we’ll be forced to fight this same battle again next year — or worse, watch it quietly stall because the urgency was allowed to fade.

That’s why today matters.
This window is narrow. It’s real. And it will not stay open unless we act.

Add your name today and help make it unmistakably clear. We expect Congress and Speaker Mike Johnson to act during this session, before the year ends.

Always for freedom,

Anna Derbyshire and the entire CitizenGO Team

P.S. You stood with Eva Edl when she faced prison for praying for the unborn. Now Congress has a chance to make sure no one else ever faces that injustice again. Congress is still in Washington — but not for long.
Please sign now and tell Speaker Mike Johnson you expect action before the end of this week.
