Winter has officially hit Chicago and it’s off to a brutal start. The snow has been nonstop and the wind chill is dangerous. We have a massive dedicated team of volunteers who would walk through fire for our movement, but I’m not going to ask them to walk through ice.  But here is the hard reality: Election day is only a few months away. We cannot afford a single “snow day.” If we lose a day of voter contract now, we might not make it up in time. So we have to change tactics immediately. We are shifting our resources from field to paid communications. If we can’t knock on voters' doors, we need to land in their mailbox, on their social media feeds, or on their phones.
