Donald Trump loves to talk about how much he supports the coal industry. But he doesn’t love the coal miners who have kept this industry running.

Across the country, miners are contracting black lung at younger and younger ages. Some regions are seeing rates as high as one in five workers! This disease is debilitating. It is deadly. And miners have begged the federal government to keep strong protections in place.

But instead of protecting them, the Trump Administration is now considering rolling back black lung protections that miners themselves have begged them to keep in place.
