Dear John,

John Bursch has been at ADF for a little over a year, but he’s very familiar with the work you help make possible here.

Before joining the ADF team, John filed a number of amicus briefs supporting our cases and worked closely with ADF attorneys in the Masterpiece Cakeshop and NIFLA cases—our most recent U.S. Supreme Court wins.

Now, John is preparing to argue his 12th U.S. Supreme Court case and his first with ADF—R.G. &a G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Oral arguments will take place on October 8.

We’d be hard pressed to find someone better qualified for the job. A recent study concluded that, among frequent U.S. Supreme Court advocates who were not part of the federal government, John was the third most successful attorney at winning Justices’ votes for his positions.

We sat down with John to get the inside scoop on this high stakes case and why it’s so important. Here’s what he had to say…
