With Hanukkah upon us and Christmas around the corner, this will be our final Update of 2025.
As such, we thought it appropriate to look at where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re
going.
**A Difficult Year**
During the past twelve months, we’ve experienced the elation of seeing the living hostages
returned home, the heartbreak of seeing Israeli soldiers laid to rest, and the horror of Jewish
worshippers massacred.
What was tragically true on January 1st, 2025 appears to remain the case as we head in 2026: The
Jewish people have yet to convince the world of their right to exist.
In the telling of the world’s elite and powerful: All other people groups deserve sovereignty and
security, but for the Children of Israel - the direct descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -
existence is negotiable.
Except it isn’t.
The right of the Jewish people to exist, to worship God as they see fit, and to do so in their
historical, Biblical, and indigenous homeland is sacrosanct. Make no mistake, the modern
incarnation of the Jewish state will not be surrendered under any threat or circumstance.
From Washington to Canberra, the world’s leaders ought to internalize that the Israelis are going
to defend themselves, and if one wants to be on the right and winning side, one must be standing
at Jerusalem’s side.
**The War at Home and Abroad**
We recently saw a headline that alluded to the fact that some Democrats were struggling with the
phrase “globalize the intifada” in the wake of the intifada having been globalized and 15 Jewish
people having been killed in Australia on the first night of Hanukkah.
That there are people “struggling” with such in the wake of yet another massacre of Jews is
indicative where “we” are. And it’s not a good place.
Younger Americans are increasingly susceptible to antisemitic messages, and despite our successes in ensuring Israel had what she needed during the recent two-year war, Washington has not seen
so many antisemites in power for at least half a century.
Dark as this picture may be, we should not despair as we are the antidote. As CUFI founder and
Chairman Pastor John Hagee wrote in a recent op-ed:
Despite the treacherous waters in which the United States presently finds itself, never forget
that the ark was built long before the flood.
My corner of the Christian world, which has grown to more than 10 million members, has
warned, has been prepared and is engaged. In fact, it is why I was compelled to form
Christians for Israel (CUFI) in 2006—not because Jew-hatred was flooding our nation but
because the storm clouds were beginning to gather.
**[Edited for clarity]**
**The Battle Ahead**
As Pastor Hagee noted, the next battle is upon us, but we are ready.
In 2026, we will seek to combat that confluence of woke-left-and-right antisemitism by
bombarding social media with the messaging that counters the antisemitic propaganda that has
flooded the airwaves, advancing federal policy that buries BDS once-and-for-all, making sure that
there are sufficient resources to secure houses of worship, and ensure Washington continues to
invest in the strategic relationship with Isreal - for our own sake, and for Israel’s.
And with the midterms around the corner, we will make sure that the worst Israel haters in
Congress will hear loud and clear disapproval from Christian Zionists.
The simple truth is that while 2025 was hard, that does not mean we’ll have an easy 2026. But just
as Israel endured and came out of the conflict with her people home and her enemies in tatters, so
too shall we face the next challenge of Jew hatred with clarity, resolve, and the unshakeable
knowledge that with God on our side, who can stand against us.
From all of us here at the CUFI Action Fund, thank you for your support during the past year, and
thank you for standing with Israel. We will see you in the trenches in 2026.
Sincerely,
The CUFI Action Fund Team
