Organizer of the week: Greater Nashua Young Dems President, Brenna! Brenna has been piling on the PPE at the Nashua Farmer's market the last 2 weeks to make sure voters know they can vote safely and easily from home this year. You'll just need to fill out an Absentee Ballot Request form, communicate with your town clerk, and your ballot will appear at your doorstep as soon as absentee voting begins! The number one priority right now is that our friends, family, colleagues, and social media followers know how to vote safely and securely this year, no matter what. That's why we're focusing on the voting process to make sure everything is clear and instructions are easy to follow. Join this training to learn how to communicate the voting process to your peers. Young Dems Caucus Legislative Wins 2020: HB 705, Sexual Violence Omnibus Bill, *SIGNED INTO LAW BY THE GOVERNOR!* Remember the priority legislation, SB 679, Ending Campus Sexual Assault? Well, it may be *months* later, but this bill made it through special sessions and survived the Governor's desk, too!! Team NHYD is eternally grateful for and proud of the hard work of prime sponsor Senator Hennessey, co-sponsor Cam Kenney, and the relentless advocacy from NHYD interns, local and college chapters, and NHYD Response Team members! 💯 Read more about the young people who testified on SB 679 back in February on our website. BLACK LIVES MATTER Action of the Week: Remember John Lewis through film: Good Trouble this Friday, 7/24 at 8pm.
"Representative John Lewis challenged us to get into good, necessary trouble — to stand up for the most marginalized people in our communities and demand justice for all. Join us for a night at Derryfield Park in Manchester as we honor his memory and host a FREE screening of the 2020 documentary “Good Trouble,” directed by Dawn Porter.
