I’m Katy, the Organizing Director here at the Texas Democratic Party.
At the start of this year, we made a big commitment: We’re going to show up in every race — in every part of the state.
We’re doing it. We’ve built a field strategy that reaches every single one of Texas’ 38 congressional districts. We’ve recruited a full slate of Democratic candidates. We’re growing our precinct chair program. And more and more volunteers are joining our team every day.
This is working — but it’s just the beginning.

I’ve worked in organizing for many years, and true story I’ve never seen this much energy in a non-presidential cycle. It’s not hard to imagine why, with everything happening in Washington and how hard that’s hitting our state.
The great news is, thanks to our work this year we’re ahead of schedule and have real infrastructure in place for the midterms. Best of all, we’re supporting incredible candidates — like Kyle Rable in TX-19, who’s the only Democrat in the race and ready to hit the ground running.
