Please find attached a letter of invitation to a focus group discussion on November 20 at 9:30am via Zoom.

On behalf of on behalf of Women In International Security (WIIS) to invite you to participate in a Focus Groups Discussion as part of our project on engaging the private sector in advancing the UN Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. This project aims to outline the role the private sector can play in advancing the WPS agenda, positioning businesses as active partners in achieving inclusive peace and security and as policy advocates for the Women, Peace and Security Act, which has codified the United State’s commitment to the WPS agenda.

Your experience in the Technology/AI/Cyber sector will be especially valuable. Issues such as building trust in AI governance, conflict-sensitive technology design, gender-responsive cyber policy and protection, and under-representation in the technology fields are cited as factors supporting a case for the technology sector to embrace WPS principles
