Each month, our team partners with local nonprofits and organizations to invest in our communities’ needs. Here are a few examples from this past year of our service work:

• Packing hundreds of food boxes and hot meals with various partners including the People’s Pantry; Yes Sir, Yes Ma’am; and City Covenant Baptist Church

• Helping pack backpacks for kids with the Detroit Diaper Bank, including pajamas and school supplies

  

• Planting 50 trees in residential rights-of-way and parks to strengthen greenspace infrastructure with the Lathrup Village DDA

  

• Addressing pressing environmental and social issues impacting Metro Detroit with our partners at ACCESS through projects such as landscaping, restoring native ecosystems, and tackling immediate recovery needs

  

• And, just recently, packing gift bags to fulfill holiday wish lists for kids and families with our friends at Westland Goodfellows and our Congressional Youth Advisory Council.

We’re also sponsoring families with Goodfellows. And our work doesn’t stop with the holiday season. We’re already scheduled to prepare and distribute food the first week of January!

We created our Rooted in Community Leadership PAC to invest in our communities—from direct service work, to training candidates and young people to organize in their communities, to donating $100,000 this year to candidates and nonprofits. Your support powers our efforts.
