John,

Now more than ever, open spaces are critical to our nation's
well-being. Thank you for all you do to help protect America's
public lands.

Almost every step of the Appalachian Trail is permanently
protected and open to the public. But at countless points along its
route between Georgia and Maine, the land it passes through remains
vulnerable to development.

In the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, we're working
to protect over 500 acres near Beech Mountain, guaranteeing the scenic
views from this section of the trail will never disappear.

Supporters like you make projects like this possible.
We're grateful, but I need to ask you to do a little more.
Please take a moment now and make a tax-deductible donation to
support our work preserving land and building parks for people to
enjoy.

Sincerely,

Kim Elliot
