There are reportedly as many as 40-50 Republicans in Congress who are planning on retiring at the end of the current term, because they are sick and tired of the heavy-handed and unhinged leadership of Trump and Johnson, and of being treated like pawns to follow in lockstep. And in many cases, because they think Trump is a lunatic who is destroying our country.
They shouldn’t wait. They should do it now, when they can make an immediate difference.
It would just take a small handful of GOP retirements to flip the majority to Democrats, and allow Democrats to take control of the House now, at least temporarily, when they have the power to put up roadblocks to Trump’s worst instincts and actions.

- Resign immediately
- Allow Democratic majorities to take control
- Show the world that you give a damn about your country
History will remember who acted — and who chose comfort over courage. At long last, do the right thing.”
