We are in the final days of the countdown to Christmas and the push to finish the 2025 work in Congress. This week, we are working to finish the National Defense Authorization Act (known as the Defense Bill), five appropriation bills, and more than 90 confirmations of President Trump's nominees.

The first priority remains the Defense Bill. If you want to read all 3,000+ pages click HERE ([link removed]) , that is, if you're already finished with your Christmas shopping and your sock drawer is sorted. The Defense Bill contains numerous priorities that I included for Oklahoma's five military installations and our Oklahoma National Guard.

When we finish our confirmation votes this week, we will have confirmed more than 400 of President Trump’s nominees, over 100 more than at this point in his first term.

We also have multiple votes on health insurance costs again this week. It’s frustrating that the Democrats are focused only on certain Obamacare marketplace subsidies, when millions of other Americans are also facing huge insurance costs due to the Obamacare mandates. We need to stop sending money to insurance companies and start giving people more healthcare options. The average cost of health insurance prior to Obamacare was $215 a month. Obamacare has not controlled prices; it has caused health insurance rates to skyrocket.
