If I've learned anything in my career in public service, it's that enacting change is never easy. But this fact doesn’t mean we need to waver on our values or water-down our vision for the future.
Too much is on the line for us to go soft – reproductive freedoms, our environment, the economic well-being of millions of Americans, and our very democracy.
I refuse to buy into the narrative that progressives are demanding too much. We've proven that change is possible, but only if we fight for it.
But we need to elect a Democratic majority in Washington to curb the extremism of the Trump Administration, and maximize the good we can do..
