I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Arizona State University chapter of the United Campus Workers of Arizona.

"The ASU Chapter of UCW-AZ is thrilled to endorse Bobby Nichols for Tempe City Council. Bobby has a proven record of standing in solidarity with workers across industries in Arizona not just in his words but in his actions. He has stood on picket lines and fought against Arizona’s 'right-to-work' laws. Mr. Nichols is a fierce ally to queer folks and people of color and has shown that he values the experiences of all sectors of the working class. Recently, Bobby was one of the main organizers behind the movement that forced Tempe City Council to rescind the 30-person restriction in public parks ordinance (O2025.25). He has organized actions to speak out against evictions by corporate development and supports rent control. When elected, Bobby plans to introduce legislation that would provide free municipal childcare and city-run grocery stores, among other initiatives. Join us in voting for Bobby Nichols for Tempe City Council on March 10th, 2026."

As an ASU alumni and a proud supporter of union rights, this endorsement means the world to me. Workers at ASU have been organizing for better wages, benefits, and working conditions since at least 2020, and UCWAZ has won major victories at ASU for graduate workers, university staff, and faculty. I look forward to supporting their important work for many years to come.
I believe that every worker deserves a union and every union deserves a contract. That is particularly true in the field of education. If I could wave a magic wand and change one thing about our society overnight, I would increase union density in the United States to 100%. Collective bargaining and working class solidarity have the power to reshape our world for the better, as proven by the five day work week, the eight hour work day, minimum wages, holiday pay and child labor laws.

I need your help.
Campaigns are expensive. I don't take donations from corporations or corporate lobbyists, and I don't want their support. This campaign depends on the working people who I intend to serve. That's intentional, but it means that I need your financial support.
So today, I am again asking you to give. There are some costs I can't avoid. Street signs cost $20 each. Professional door-to-door canvassers cost $20 per hour. All told, each door knocked costs about $2.50
That means a $25 donation knocks 10 doors! $100 can knock 40 doors or buy five street signs at major intersections. A max donation of $650 will knock 260 doors or buy 32 street signs.
We need to raise at least $20,000 by February 11 if we want a shot at winning in March. That may sound like a lot, but there are thousands of you on this email. If everyone reading this makes a donation that they can afford, we will crush that goal in no time.
Together we can make Tempe affordable for everyone, but time is running out. Our 2025 fundraising deadline is 15 days away, and ballots go out in 61. We have two months to reach our goal, and we need your help to do it.
Please make a $50 dollar donation at the link below. If you can afford to give more, please give more. Your generosity is why we will win.

Gratitude and solidarity forever,
Bobby Nichols
