Actions for the week of December 15, 2025

Season’s Greetings, Activists!

These light-lift, high-impact actions will help keep our environment in focus as we close out the year. Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season! 🕊️🕯️🌿

Action 1

🤑☠️🫷 Urge New York’s Pension Funds to Divest from BlackRock

Comptroller Brad Lander has recommended that three of New York City’s largest pension funds move $42.3 billion away from BlackRock, one of the biggest climate offenders.

Sign this petition to the 3 New York City pension funds — NYCERS, BERS and TERS — and urge the boards to implement Comptroller Lander’s recommendations, and move the city’s money away from climate-destroying money managers like BlackRock.

Action 2

👩‍🔬🛟🌍 Demand Congress Protect the Endangerment Finding

The Trump administration has made changes to hundreds of public health, safety, and environmental rules without public input — even when it’s required by law. Rather than protect the public, they are choosing to protect the profits of fossil fuel polluters.

The Endangerment Finding is the 2009 science-backed determination that heat-trapping gases endanger public health and welfare. It gives the EPA legal authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate harmful emissions and fulfill its responsibility to protect people and the environment. Without it, critical protections like limits on pollution from vehicles, power plants, and other major emitters are at risk, endangering our communities and planet.

We need Congress to step in and urge the EPA to protect the Endangerment Finding.

Act now and call on our Congressional leaders to ensure our communities’ health and safety over polluters’ profits.

Action 3

🛢️🚫🏭 Tell the US House: Stop the SPEED Act

Energy permitting reform is back on the agenda in Congress, but it means different things to different people: Climate hawks want more transmission lines to move wind and solar. Fossil fueled Republicans, want to undo bedrock environmental laws to build more oil and gas pipelines.

But no matter what you want, a new MAGA Bill called the “Standardizing Permitting and Expediting Economic Development Act” or “SPEED Act” for short (H.R. 4776) gets it all wrong.

The SPEED act claims to be a compromise — more pipelines and more power lines. But the truth is that it will only empower Trump and his fossil fueled MAGA minions to do what they’re already doing: Canceling clean energy projects and boosting fossil fuels — laws and regulations be damned.

Tell your US House Representative: No permitting reform deal, no compromise, no way.
