We've been in Iowa for most of the past two months, " securing a beachhead " and meeting as many people as we can. I've now visited 35 counties and shaken around 30,000 hands - and my team has distributed over 100,000 fliers across the state.

And it's starting to show. Even on the front page.

I know that nothing beats grassroots. And we've been doing more than grassroots - our campaign is a "grass seeds" effort.

Lately, I've been trying to visit every local paper and radio station I can, as I travel across Iowa. Because I know that, just as my mother did when I was a kid, people trust their local paper first, as you see in this tweet from Dickinson County Democratic Chair Brett Copeland showing the value of our approach:
