From the Director,

In the past year alone we've delivered over 130 small grants to youth from low income families. The Game Changer grants help kids afford sports equipment or cover costs associated with fees or travel. We believe every child should have the opportunity to participate in sports regardless of income level. 

We also believe every Alaska kid should have a pair of boots on their feet to play outside at recess, or a decent pair of sneakers to wear during gym class. Our Kicks for Kids program has provided footwear to over 1,350 youth in need over the past year.

I'm especially proud of the way our program stepped up the past couple months to support communities impacted by Typhoon Halong. We were able to fill a void in services in a time of crisis while many agencies were closed due to the government shutdown.
