Summary: Select online forms will be offline during a software upgrade from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025.

Summary: DHS created new interactive modules on conversational interviewing as part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen MnCHOICES certified assessors’ skills.

Audience: People who receive personal care assistance (PCA), Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and CFSS services, families, providers, lead agencies and other interested parties

Summary: DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.

Summary: As of Sept. 17, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) determined that DHS meets all requirements outlined in the Minnesota HCBS settings rule CAP after more than a decade of collaboration and dedicated work.

Audience: Providers, including anyone involved in preparing or submitting cost reports (e.g., cost reporting consultants), who did cost reporting between 2021 and 2025 for residential services, unit-based services, day programs and customized living services

Summary: The deadline to complete a survey on how to improve the DWRS cost reporting system is Dec. 19, 2025.

Summary: Effective Jan. 1, 2026, DHS will increase the operating payment rate floor for ICF/DD providers.

Summary: Effective Jan. 1, 2026, EIDBI providers must not deliver or bill for select direct intervention services during homeschool or online/virtual school instruction.
