Hi there,
NPP Chair, John Neurohr Jr., and Board Member, John Hanger, here. We wanted to reach out before the end of the year.
2025 proved once again what’s possible when we invest in year-round voter engagement and civic education. This year, the New Pennsylvania Project led the way in civic education focused on the state judiciary, launched a brand new podcast that expanded our digital reach, and mobilized voters to the polls in the November General Election to vote YES to retain our appellate court justices and judges in addition to supporting the Democratic judges for the vacant seats on the Commonwealth and Superior Court.
And our hard work paid off: Statewide turnout was about 41%, and early numbers show that in many counties where our team was knocking on doors and engaging voters directly, turnout surged to historical levels compared to similar elections. Pennsylvanians voted with clarity and intention, filling all of us with hope for the future.
We are so proud of what we accomplished. But this is just the beginning.
2026 is another critical election year where Pennsylvania voters will be voting for: Governor/Lt. GovU.S. RepresentativesPA Senate (Half)PA House
Your support fuels the work that keeps our democracy moving forward – year-round voter engagement, accessible civic education, and the expansion of digital platforms like Slingshot the Podcast that reach our centered communities. Can we count on your continued support?

Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.
The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
