Anne Keke, our 2021 Ready to Lead® alumna and the recently re-elected Board of Education President for the Aurora, Colorado Public Schools, embodies this pioneering spirit fully.
Anne recalled the pandemic and the harmful anti-immigrant rhetoric that ensued as catalysts that galvanized her to take action. She shared, “As an immigrant, I felt the weight of those narratives deeply. I wanted to elevate the voices of immigrants, push back against the negativity, and to show that immigrants in Colorado and in Aurora are incredible contributors who care deeply about their communities.”
