Tomorrow, the U.S. Senate will vote on the Schatz-Paul Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
The Schatz-Paul Amendment limits what is known as the “1033 Program,” which provides military “surplus” equipment to local law enforcement.
If this amendment passes, local police departments will no longer be able to obtain weapons of war -- like drones, bayonets, tear gas, and grenade launchers -- to use against American citizens.
With the vote just one day away, it is vital you call your U.S. Senators ASAP at 202-224-3121 and tell them to vote for the Schatz-Paul Amendment.

This amendment was one of six (out of over 500 submitted) chosen to receive a vote. . .
This is because of Campaign for Liberty supporters like you, who called your senators to demand they support the Schatz-Paul Amendment.
But the news from the Senate is not all positive.
Senate leadership is requiring the amendment receive 60 votes to pass.

The 1033 Program has enabled the militarization of the police, which has led to increasing violations of individual liberties and even loss of innocent life. . .
. . . without any reductions in crime.
Passage of this amendment would be a tremendous step forward in our efforts to stop the use of police state tactics against American citizens.
