John,

What happened in Indiana just sent shockwaves through the political world.

A bipartisan supermajority — including more than half of Republicans — in the Indiana Senate locked arms to reject a Trump-led extreme gerrymander. The redistricting fight in Indiana, for now, is over, and democracy prevailed.

These lawmakers stood strong not just in the face of bomb threats and their homes being swatted — but also after President Trump reportedly said that “all federal funding will be stripped from the state” if his extreme map didn’t pass.

This outcome didn’t happen out of nowhere. It’s what happens when we fight back against anti-democracy schemes designed to take power away from voters. Hoosiers got mad, they got organized, and they won.

We need to replicate this playbook in the states getting ready to dive into this redistricting crisis — will you rush in a donation to help the NDR PAC build the political power to defeat Republican power grabs in Florida, Kansas, and anywhere else they try to rig the midterm elections? For the first time since Texas plunged the nation into a crisis by redrawing its congressional map at the request of the Trump White House, we’re seeing real cracks emerge in the Republican coalition. Don’t take it from us — USA Today called this Indiana vote a “stunning blow to President Donald Trump's hotly contested redistricting campaign.”

Our job now is to ensure that this victory for democracy becomes a turning point in our fight for fairness.

We want states that are on the fence about pursuing their own mid-decade redraw to see how this played out and decide it’s not worth the risk. We want Republican lawmakers across the country who are thinking about following Missouri, Texas, and North Carolina’s lead to remember how Indiana voters mobilized and demanded lawmakers reject this power grab.

But that means we have a lot more work to do. This redistricting crisis is bound to get worse in the weeks ahead, with states like Florida eager to enter the fray.

Here’s the thing: Now we know that when we fight back, we can defeat them. Make a donation today, and let’s fight even harder to ensure the Trump power grab fails miserably in 2026: [[link removed]]

Thank you for all you’ve done to get us here. More soon,

Team NDR PAC
