This is Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) with an update from Washington.

In the House Foreign Affairs Committee, we marked up legislation to bolster our national security and dismantle international crime syndicates that scam Americans. 

In the House Veterans Affairs Committee, we considered legislation that would protect the VA from being overbilled by private insurers so our veterans can get the healthcare they deserve. 

I continued fighting to extend the ACA healthcare tax credits, to make health insurance affordable, and reverse the decision to terminate TPS for the Haitian Community.
