Two anti-trans bills are up for a vote in the House this week!
The bills would deny transgender, gender-diverse, and intersex youth access to essential health care.
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s H.R. 3492 would criminalize doctors for providing consensual, evidence-based transition-related care, while explicitly allowing non-consensual surgeries on intersex infants.
Dan Crenshaw’s H.R. 498 would block federal Medicaid funds from covering transition-related care for adolescents, creating a de facto ban for families who already face significant economic barriers.

These bills are not about protecting children—they are about enforcing rigid, outdated ideas of gender at the expense of young people’s health, safety, and dignity. Transition-related health care has been provided for decades in line with established medical standards and has been shown to improve mental health outcomes and save lives. Criminalizing this care puts patients and providers at risk while doing nothing to protect anyone.
A vote on both bills will happen on Wednesday, December 17th. So, your action matters right now! [[link removed]]

If passed, these bills would open the door to even more attacks on the LGBTQI+ community, those seeking reproductive health care, people with disabilities, people of color, and low-income communities. Congress must choose care, autonomy, and evidence-based medicine over fear and discrimination.
Tell your representative [[link removed]] that you expect them to defend access to medically necessary healthcare and to protect trans and intersex youth by voting NO on H.R. 3492 and H.R. 498 .
