I’m the proud son of Vietnamese refugees. My parents fled the Communist regime and left everything behind to start over in the United States, in hopes of giving me a better life.
Leaving behind their home was not easy, but my parents were able to survive on their work ethic and their belief in the American Dream. That dream became a reality when they opened up a corner store in Southern California, where I spent my summers behind the register learning the value of hard work.
America gave my parents a chance so there was no question that I’d want to give back to the country that gave so much to me. At the age of 18, I enlisted in the Army and proudly served my country. And now, I’m serving in Congress to ensure that every family can realize the same American Dream that mine did all those years ago.
Listen, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and extreme House Republicans have put that dream at risk. They’ve made it clear that they’re willing to do whatever it takes to line their own pockets, while you pay the price.
I’m working hard to stand up to corruption in Congress and fight for our community, but with Republicans fighting to flip this seat back, I’ll need your help to stay here.
