Jack,

Of the 541 representatives, senators, and delegates in Congress, just 131 are women, and only 25 of them are Black.

Over the last month, we've seen people across the country rise up against racism—united in their call for defending Black lives. But what's become clear is that we can’t make the bold changes necessary to address systemic racism in this country unless we change who holds the power.

I’m running for Congress in Ohio’s tenth congressional district to do just that. But if I’m going to win and help create real, lasting change, I’m going to need your help:

So I’m asking you to make a contribution to my campaign today. Any amount you can spare gets us one step closer to defeating my GOP incumbent opponent and bringing real change to Washington→

Last cycle, Black women raised only half as much money as white candidates.

People use stats like this to count us out before we even get the chance to make a difference, but this year is different. We’ve already shown that there is real grassroots support for Black candidates like me across the country, and if we can turn this support into dollars, we’ll be taking Washington by storm next year.

Please, make a donation to build my campaign today. Together, we can create the bold, systemic changes that we need to see in this country. But it starts with your support.

With profound gratitude,
Desiree

P.S. The DCCC just added my race to its “red-to-blue” list of the most competitive and flippable House seats this cycle. This is a HUGE deal for us—I hope you can help build on this momentum by contributing to my campaign today.
