John,

President Trump's grotesque rewrite of the Endangered Species Act puts polar bears on the path to extinction.

Places like the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, where mother bears den and have their cubs, could now become hellscapes dotted with oil wells and drill pads.

We're in court now stop this despicable attack on the Act and save endangered species from extinction. Please make a matched gift today to our Endangered Species Act Protection Fund.

Greedy corporate interests see the home of polar bears as a lucrative source of private profits. They have long wanted to drill their way through polar bear habitat.

Interior Secretary Bernhardt and his industry allies know drilling in the Arctic will devastate the pristine home of polar bears — but they're perfectly willing to sacrifice those bears for dollars.

Now Bernhardt has delivered on his biggest giveaway ever to corporate interests.

He's been scheming for years to weaken the Act by making it harder to protect critical habitat. Fewer, smaller protected areas will let Big Oil march in to drill and pollute the Arctic.

Trump and Bernhardt's plan will worsen the extinction crisis by changing how, when and where species will be protected — all skewed in favor of industry.

Polar bears are just one among hundreds of species that could now be robbed of the protection they desperately need to survive.

Meanwhile their habitat will be destroyed by oil wells and melting sea ice. With threatened species no longer granted the same protection as endangered species, other imperiled wildlife will suffer a similar fate.

We're doing all we can to protect the Act and the animals and plants that depend on it to survive — and we need you with us.

Please donate to the Center's Endangered Species Act Protection Fund and double the protection you'll provide for imperiled wildlife.
