In the last few months, I’ve been talking to folks all across Texas—in small towns, big cities, and neighborhoods that rarely get attention. And everywhere I go, I see the same thing: people are stepping up. They’re running for office, organizing their communities, registering voters, and refusing to sit on the sidelines.
For the first time since at least 1974, Democrats are running for every single Congressional, State House, and State Senate seat on the ballot. That didn’t just happen. It’s the result of tenacious organizing all across the state, including in the places written off as too red, or too tough, or too rural.
That’s Powered by People. We write no one off, and we take no one for granted. Every county, every community, every person is worth fighting for. That’s how we helped fill the ballot with a Democrat in every one of these slots for the first time in 50 years; it’s how we produced a turnout rate of 79.5% with young voters in our program in 2024; and it’s how we’re going to help Democrats win in 2026.
