On day one, I made a promise to you: To hit the ground running, speak up for the voiceless, and ensure that our judicial system aligns with our values of justice and fairness.
I believe that together, we have delivered on that promise. In the past year, the Governor’s Council has appointed 45 qualified candidates to appointments throughout the judicial system in Massachusetts of which nine confirmed candidates were residents of District 2.
I’ll never break that day one promise. And I’m just getting started on this important work, alongside incredible Democrats like Blue Vision.
2024 was a historic election, and it’s not lost on me that I, along with Councillor Zeigler were the first two women of color elected to the Governor’s Council. My deeply-rooted personal experiences with the justice system are the reason why I felt compelled to run for office in the first place.
When my cousin was falsely accused and imprisoned for 27 years, I started my advocacy. I’ve served as an Associate Probation officer – dealing directly with those facing injustice from within the system, and fighting for change on their behalf.
Now, as a Governor’s Councillor, I continue advocating by ensuring our judicial system is led by those who believe in true equality under the law.
Please consider splitting a donation between my campaign and Blue Vision – $5, $26, or any amount helps us kick off our re-election campaign. I can’t do this without you →
