The fight for Black lives didn’t stop with Juneteenth. It can’t ever stop until racism and white supremacy are dismantled. Uprisings are happening all over the country and this is the moment to transform our economy and democracy.

Today, workers everywhere demand:

1. Justice for Black communities, with an unequivocal declaration that Black Lives Matter. 

2. Elected officials and candidates at every level use their executive, legislative, and regulatory authority to begin to rewrite the rules and reimagine our economy and democracy so that Black communities can thrive. 

3. Corporations take immediate action to dismantle racism, white supremacy, and economic exploitation wherever it exists, including in our workplaces. 

4. Every worker has the opportunity to form a union, no matter where they work.

Since the start of this year’s uprisings, the spotlight on racial inequality has never been brighter. People everywhere are rising up alongside Black communities to demand change that has been too slow in coming.

But the system is fighting back against this inevitable change. The powerful think these uprisings are a fad that will fade. We have to show that we aren’t going anywhere until Black Lives Matter.
